Vision Fitness - Origins

Starting out under the world-famous Trek Bicycle Company umbrella, Vision Fitness was started as a division in 1993 with the purpose of delivering products that met the needs and expectations of modern exercisers. The name was derived from the vision that is obtained by the exerciser when they believe what they can achieve when they work on their body through fitness and the company quickly formed its own entity shortly after. Utilizing technical advances borrowed from Trek's award-winning implementations, Vision Fitness soon began earning awards themselves. Vision Fitness' use of Trek's magnetic resistance systems won them Consumer Digest's "Best Buy" awards in 1995, 1996, 1998, 2001, and 2004. They continue to design fitness and sports equipment that are innovative, creative, and that set the bar for the rest of the industry.

Vision Fitness Folding Elliptical Trainers

In 1998, Vision Fitness released their folding elliptical trainers to a great fanfare. Within its first year on the market, the X6200 was awarded the prestigious Consumer Digest "Best Buy" award. Other print publications such as Health, Money, Smart Money, Parenting, and the UK's All You, Which? have also lauded Vision Fitness' elliptical trainers as simply the best on the market. Vision Fitness' elliptical trainers were just one of their lines of fitness equipment that helped propel the company to its station as one of the top fitness equipment companies in the world by 1999, just three years after it separated from Trek.

Remarkable Growth Rate

Vision Fitness' growth rate has been remarkable and has been attributed to their commitment to their products and their customers. In 2001, the company was forced to relocate into larger headquarters to accommodate their staggering growth rate. As a testament to their devotion to their customers, Vision Fitness established partnerships with the Wisconsin's Governor's office and Unity Health Insurance Company to increase awareness of the importance of fitness and nutrition to overall health and to effectively combat the nation's childhood obesity epidemic. The company has also pledged large sum donations to PE4Life, a campaign designed to teach children the rewards of exercise and a healthy lifestyle.

Vision Fitness continues to grow and expand their target market and has set their sites on distributing their line of impeccable fitness equipment across the globe in the coming years as well.
